SARG - About Us

The Small Arms Readiness Group's primary mission is to coordinate assignment of SARG and other selected small arms instructor personnel to the various MOB stations in concert with the requirements to support deployment. When not mobilized, our instructors fulfill training mission to TPU's within CONUS.

Run TAITC (Total Army Instructor Training Course)

Plan, Develop and Conduct effective Courses Of Instruction (COIs) that help unit trainers become knowledgeable & proficient marksmanship instructors

Advise and Assist high priority units in planning and developing effective weapons training programs that help unit commanders raise and maintain marksmanship skill levels that meet or exceed STRAC requirements

Compete in and support Army-wide Competition Programs

Support all USAR Shooting Teams
